Bookings
Before
submitting any booking applications, any
new potential exhibitors should ensure that their work has been approved by The
Makers Markets. Please send us either sample images of your work or a
link to your website by e-mail for approval.
(Bookings applications will not be accepted if
your work has not been approved).
Booking applications will only be considered from approved exhibitors and are on a first-come, first served basis.
Booking applications can only be considered if we have receive a full payment
along with a completed booking application form.
A booking is not
confirmed until you have received a confirmation e-mail from us.
You are required to
pay the full amount at the same time as submitting your completed booking
application form.
You will be directed to the online payment page immediately after you submit your
form.
The full
payment
amount is indicated in the event description on the 'Book
Now' page.
All bookings are
non-transferable (between events and/or exhibitors).
The
Makers Markets accept no responsibility for technical problems which lead to
delay or failure of payment.
The Makers Markets reserve the right to refuse any application which
does not meet with our specified criteria, without explanation and promptly
return the full fees received.
By
providing an exhibitor photo, you are agreeing to this being used in
promotional material.
Cancellation Policy
In
line with the current 'Distance Selling Regulations (2000)', exhibitors have a
cooling-off period in which they can withdraw from the contract for any reason.
The cooling-off period begins as soon as we receive the payment to confirm your
booking. The cooling-off period ends seven working days after the day the
payment was received.
On
cancellation of a booking, for any reason, within the cooling-off period, The
Makers Markets will refund the full amount received.
Any
cancellations, for any reason, out-with the cooling-off period, and up to two
calendar months before the event, will forfeit a booking fee of £25.00. In this
instance, a refund will be made less the booking fee.
Any
cancellations, for any reason, within two calendar months of the event, will
forfeit the full amount paid.
Cancellations must be made by in writing as soon as possible by sending us an
e-mail. We will then confirm receipt of your e-mail and booking cancellation.
In the
event that The Makers Markets are required to refund any payments, these will be
issued via PayPal only. (This may require the recipient to create a PayPal
account to claim their funds)
The
Makers Markets reserve the right to refuse future booking from exhibitors who do
not attend an event they have booked, without notifying us.
Non-attendance will forfeit the full amount paid, and may affect future
bookings.
Items
for sale
All items on display
must be handmade by the exhibitor. If the stallholder on the day is a chosen
representative, The Makers Markets must be notified prior to the event.
Only the items/crafts
detailed on your booking application form may be displayed at the event.
We
reserve the right to ask you to remove any items from your display which you
have not detailed on your booking form and/or have not been approved.
Any
exhibitor wishing to sell confectionery items must have a valid Food Hygiene
Certificate.
Public Liability Insurance
It is highly recommended that each
exhibitor has their own Liability Insurance. No responsibility will be taken by
The Makers Markets for any damage, accidents caused or theft of personal
possessions.
On the day
If you
are going to be late on the day, please telephone The Makers Markets as soon as
possible. Our contact number is 07584 484 268.
There
will be no admittance to the venue hall before the stated set-up time.
On
arrival, The Makers Markets will take a register and inform you of your
allocated stall location. The Makers Markets plan the allocation of spaces
carefully, prior to each market. Under no circumstances should there be any
request to switch tables.
On
arrival at the venue, please familiarise yourself with the Fire Exits.
If an
exhibitor has not arrived a the venue ten minutes before the event start time
and has not notified The Makers Markets, the allocated table will be removed
from the hall. No admittance will be permitted after this time and the full
amount paid will be forfeited.
Please do not move
your table. The tables have been set out to provide entry and exit
spaces for each exhibitor to access their stall and to provide as much
room as possible for visitors to make their way round the hall.
Strictly nothing is to be attached/stuck to the venue walls! Exhibitors will be
held responsible for any damage that they cause to the venue or property of The
Makers Markets. Should there be any significant damage, the exhibitor will be
charged for the full cost of repair or replacement, and will be refused future
bookings.
A 6ft table and chairs will
be provided.
All
stalls must be well presented and covered with a floor-length cloth.
Any additional
free-standing displays must fit within or behind the allocated 6ft table space
you have paid for.
As exhibitors are limited to the allocated
6ft table space, you may wish to book an extra space to ensure adequate room for
any additional free-standing displays.
Due to
Health & Safety reasons, strictly no items are to be left/displayed at the sides
of or in front of the stall.
Strictly no packing away before the advertised closing time! Any exhibitor found
packing up early will be refused future bookings!
Please
make sure you dispose of your own rubbish and ensure that your allocated space
is left clean and tidy.
Electricity
If you require electricity, please
indicate this on the booking application form.
Electricity is free of charge but must
be requested in advance as there is limited availability at each venue.
The Makers Markets will endeavour to accommodate all requests for electricity,
however it will be provided on a first-come first-served basis.
Access to electricity is limited and we cannot guarantee
that there will be a socket directly at your table. If you do require
electricity, please bring your own extension cable of at least 3 metres.
All electrical equipment used must
comply with current Safety Legislation.
All risks associated with the use of any
electrical equipment brought onto the premises by exhibitors rests entirely with
themselves. We will not allow any trip hazards i.e. loose cables in walkways, on
the floor.
Other
In the unlikely event of a
market being cancelled or the venue becomes unavailable due to circumstances
out-with our control, we will inform all participating exhibitors at the
earliest opportunity and try to arrange an alternative date. If this is not
possible, full refunds will be issued.
